ABL: Genevieve Beacom became first female pitcher to throw for ABL team

Only few days after announcing signing of Genevieve Beacom, the seventeen year old pitcher stepped on the mound for Melbourne Aces. In her first game for the team, she pitched a scoreless inning, but even that wasn’t enough to help Aces as they lost the game 7-1.

Despite cancelled 2021/2022 season, Melbourne Aces played a friendly series against Adelaide Giants over the weekend. Beacom entered the game in the top of the sixth inning with Giants ahead 4-0. Left handed pitcher faced 5 batters, forcing 2 GO and 1 FO. You can watch her performance in the video below.
