Boris Večerka will not travel to World Baseball Classic

Czech roster for the upcoming World Baseball Classic is only published for a couple of days, but we already have a change. Arizona DiamondBacks organization decided not to allow Boris Večerka to play in the tournament.

Based on the tournament rules, MLB clubs are allowed to keep their players, if some circumstances are met. And this is what happened to the younger pitcher, who played for Hroši Brno in the previous season.

Večerka should be replaced by Jake Rabinowitz, who moved from Tempo to Třebíč during the offseason. This will be another huge tournament, while representing Czech colors, for Rabinowitz, who was part of the qualification roster in Regensburg.
