Czechs had two games planned for Friday. The first one was the postponed duel against Mexico. For a long time, the game was close, but Mexicans were better in the late game and they earned their first win of the tournament.
Czechs started Jan Kozel. He threw a complete game and kept his team competitive. Unfortunately, Czech defense made several errors, due to which Mexico took 2-0 lead in the fifth inning.
