Sport and technical committee of Czech Baseball Association announced changes for the upcoming Extraliga season. It is now clear we won’t see the regular season followed by TOP 6.
Fans can look forward to 14 rounds of the regular season where teams play each other five times. Each team will thus played 35 games. The first two rounds will be played for 2 games, and then will switch between the rounds with three and two games. The first 4 teams will advance to the semifinals, that will be played as the best of five. Czech Series will once again be played as the best of seven.

The Promotion stage will also see some changes. We will see 6 teams once again, but this time, there will be 4 from Extraliga, supplemented by the two best team from the First League. Each team will play 15 games in the stage, three against every opponent.
The newly formed Player Association also pushed through a bye week where no games will be played. It is supposed to be the week after the finish of Prague Baseball Week.
