Project Baseball Jobs Overseas revealed another foreigner to play in Extraliga this season. It is Canadian player Mike Fitzsimmons, who should head to Sokol Hluboká.
Twenty three year old Fitzsimmons comes to Hluboká after finishing his college baseball career, where he played four seasons for University of British Columbia. There he played 171 games, where he had BA .278 and OBP .354. His last season was especially good from his point of view where he finished with 10 HR, which was 4 more than in the previous three years combined. In 2021 and 2022 he also played in summer college league.

Young Canadian played most of his career in the inner field, especially as a short stop and the second baseman. He usually batted as a leadoff. In 2023 he won Cascade Collegiate Conference Golden Glow as a shortstop.
