Extraliga team SaBaT Praha returns to the top tier baseball and they already strengthened their squad after signing Japanese Yodai Nakamura. Club confirmed the news on their Facebook page.
Nakamura should join SaBaT mainly as a catcher, where he plays more or less his entire career. He started at American universities, where he was named a captain for Kansan Wesleyan and was chosen for the conference team two times. He then moved to Japan in 2019, where he played in the same league as Jakub Sládek and Milan Prokop.

In the previous season Nakamura played in French Division 1 for Senart Templiers. There he finished with BA .269 in 28 games. And it is likely he caught the eye of the current SaBaT manager Ben Currie, who was part of the leagues in the previous year, there.
