College Baseball: Another great performance from Pacal. First games for Pospíšil
After another week we will take a look on how Czech players did at college baseball. Another week brought another good performance from the pitcher Lukáš Pacal.
Since Galveston College uploads the statistics delayed, we can now also look at how Czechs in their lineup performed in the previous week. Michal Zelenka finished the first game with 3 strikeouts, however, he had a three run homerun in the second. Viktor Hluchý also played two games, but he couldn’t register a hit. Galveston played against Dallas College North Lake in the previous week and won two times. Once again, we will have to wait for the statistics for another week.
Lukáš Pacal continues with a great start of the season. He played the last game of the series against Yavapai College for Arizona Western. In 5 innings, he allowed only 2 runs and had 4 strikeouts. He earned a win, when his team won 7-2.
Ondřej Vank has another start for Northeaster Junior College. However, he is still waiting for a win, after he threw 3.1 innings and allowed players from New Mexico Military Institute 7 runs.
Jan Pospíšil, playing for Pitt Community College played his first game of the season. He played all 3 games against Wake Technical CC. The second game, similar to the rest of the team, was the best of the series. Czech batter helped his team to 13-0 win with 2 hits and 2 RBI. In the third game he also had a hit.
