EXL: David Mergans loaned to Eagles Praha

Based on our sources another national team player will change the team in Extraliga this year. Pitcher David Mergans will be loaned from Tempo to Eagles Praha.

Twenty two year old will play for his fourth Extraliga team. Growing up with Draci also played for Třebíč Nuclears and Tempo.

His first two seasons in Extraliga in 2020 and 2021 were certainly the best. Especially in the second season he finished with ERA 1.91 in 70.2 IP. This brought interest from abroad as he moved to Italian Milan for 2022. After returning to Extraliga he was unable to return to the top form and his ERA fell to 8.47 and based on the stats from baseball-stat.cz his pWAR fell under 0.0 for the first time in the career. He now get chance to get back on track with Eagles.
