EXL: Draci allegedly signed Venezuelan Luis Moncada

Instagram profile @peloterosvenezolanoseuropa revealed another interesting signing for an Extraliga team. It should be pitcher Luis Moncada, who should sign for the reigning champions Draci.

Twenty six year old Luis Moncada has six years of experience in MiLB. He got as far as A+ for Tampa Bay Ray and Chicago White Sox. He threw 302 inning with ERA 4.17 and 264 strikeouts.

He also played four seasons for Venezuelan team Aquilas del Zulia, where he only played 39 innings with ERA 7.38.

Based on the scouting report Moncada’s fastball reaches 94 mph, but more usually is around 88-89 mph. He best technical pitch should be curveball, but he also threw changeups in 2019. He joins Draci in the situation where they need to find a replacement for Jaime and Hurtado, which will not be easy.
