While Extraliga only starts this week, college baseball overseas is half way through. And Czech players were heard of once again.
Martin Zelenka played three games for UNC Wilmington. He had 1 H, 1 RBI, and 2 walks in the first game against Charleston Southern, helping his team to a 5-3 win. He then played two games against North Carolina A&T over the weekend, the first as DH, where he head 1H and a walk. The second game turned into a 5 hour drama with 16 innings. Unfortunately for Zelenka, he didn’t have a good game this time as none of this at bats turned into a hit. UNCW also lost the game 3-4.

Ondřej Vank got a loss after almost two months. It came against Lamar CC, where he threw 3.2 innings. Czech pitcher had 6 strikeouts, but also 6 walks. Unfortunately, the defense didn’t help him out where only one of seven runs was earned.
Aleš Zhao had another great week for Minnesota West. Czech youngster played four games and was able to get a hit in all of them. He finished with 6 hits (13 AB), 6 runs, and 4 RBI. Beside the individual stats, he could also celebrate team success, as Minnesota won all 4 games.
Not even 8 strikeouts without a walk got Lukáš Pacal another win. Despite only allowing 2 runs against Eastern Arizona College, his team lost 1-2.
Jan Pospíšil played 4 games for Pitt CC over the week. He managed to get hits in all of them, but the second game on Saturday against Bryant & Stratton College was his best. He extended his stats with 3 hits and an RBI as his team won 10-3. Pospíšil’s stats look rather good this week: 4 G, 13 AB, 4 R, 5 H, 5 RBI, 2 BB, 0 SO. Czech national team player also moved to top 3 batters of the team.
