The only Friday Extraliga game brought a new milestone reached. The visiting pitcher Ondřej Satoria struck out his 700th batter, as only the 9th pitcher in the competition’s history.
Before the game, it looked very likely Ostrava starter would reach the milestone, as he only needed on strikeout. Draci batters, however, didn’t strike out once in the first two innings and so we had to wait till the third inning. There Satoria picked Martin Kalábek as his victim and the celebrations could begin.

Satoria is currently the ninth pitcher in the historical Extraliga standings when it comes to strikeouts, but he is not far from Marek Červenka, who is not an active player anymore. He is also in reach of due Jan Novák and Jakub Vančura, whom he could get to during the season.
He is currently second with a large margin to the first Boris Bokaj in the club statistics, who only need 18 strikeouts to be only the second player in the history to strike out 1000 batters.
