Another Czech player will join the ranks of USA’s college baseball teams, this time Filip Halámek. Young Czech player will play for Western Nebraska Community College. The player announced the news on the social networks.
Player who played for Technika Brno, played First League in the previous season. He had BA .195 and OBP .340 in the second best Czech league. He then added 20.1 innings on the mound with ERA 7.97. He also played in youth Extraliga where he had BA .235, OBP .453, and ERA 7.44 in 32 IP.
Western Nebraska CC Cougars has a baseball club with a storied history and a strong team. They are placed in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and is a part of Junior Colleges. In 2007 and 2021 then won the title in Region 9. One of the notable alumni is Bob Harris, who went as far as MLB.
