Martin Červenka and Jan Novák are Players of the Week
With another week passed, we once again bring you Player of the Week awards for both Extraliga and First League. This week it’s Martin Červenka and Jan Novák.
Martin Červenka has been considered to be likely the best Czech baseball player and his showed just why during the weekend series against SaBaT. He was one of the main reasons why his team won the Prague derby. In the first game he had two 2 run homeruns, and he then added another in the next game. Červenka finished the series with the following stats: 5/7, 3 HR, 5 R, 8 RBI a 2 BB. After such performance we believe he deserves Player of the Week award.
In the First league it was Jan Novák who had a brilliant game against Pelikans Bučovice. In the six innings he struck out 15 players and didn’t allow any runs scored. Only 5 players reached the bases against him. This performance helped his team to 7-5 win.
