Czechs lost 0-1 to Netherlands in the first friendly
Czech national team played their first friendly game against Netherlands as a preparation for European Championship.
Czechs could rely on their pitchers against Netherlands, as they kept earned runs at zero. Unfortunately, even this wasn’t enough for the win. After an error from Vojtěch Menšík in the sixth inning, Netherlands scored the first and the only run. From the pitchers Lukáš Hlouch remained on the mound the longest, for 3 innings.
Batters were able to get on bases during the entire game, but they were unable to turn their chances into the runs. Czechs had bases loaded in the eighth inning, but even this situation didn’t see them score runs.
The game finished 1-0 for Netherlands, with another game being played on Saturday at 16:00.
