„Prague selection“ team to play at Prague Baseball Week

Due to the increased number of positive Covid-19 cases, many of the international teams decided not to travel to Prague Baseball Week. For this reason we will be able to see the team consisting of players from differente Prague baseball teams.

This team will be named Prague Selection, and it will be backed mainly by Australian Scott Mulhearn and Kotlářka Praha. After inquiring, it was Scott who managed to convince Prague players to play more games, despite their season being over. The new team will boast names such as Jake Rabinowitz, Lukáš Ercoli, David Nevěřil, or Matěj Šůcha. We will also be able to see Marek Červenka in his first the international game after quiet some time.

Players will not be wearing their own names on their backs. Instead, Prague Selection will wear the nicknames of the players, something we were able to see in MLB games. We can look forward to „Trucker“, „Big John“, or „Jahůdka“ (little strawberry). Prague Selection team will bring a fresh air to the tournament, and the fans have a lot to look forward to.

Unless the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic worsens, Prague Baseball Week will start on 30th of September and will last till 3rd of October.
