Czechs couldn’t hold the lead in the last game at Tenerife
The last game of the mini tournament at Tenerife started at noon. In the end Hynek Čapka’s team lost by a single point.
Czechs entered the game well. After a solo homerun by Daniel Morena in the first inning, the away team responded with three runs. And there could be more, but Spanish team managed to play an out on the home base three times with bases loaded.
Boris Bokaj showed an excellent performance on the mound, allowing the home team only two hits in four innings. Czech team held the lead until sixth inning, when Daniel Mondejar hit a three run homerun against Lukáš Hlouch.
Czech team kept pushing, loading the bases with two outs. In the end, they didn’t manage to score a run, leaving the tournament with a narrow loss. Czech team, however, kept pace with Spain, who’s season ended only a week ago, bringing interesting and close games to watch.
