EXL: Tate Gillespie will play for Kotlářka Praha
Another foreign player, who will join Czech Extraliga was announced today. American Tate Gillespie joined Kotlářka Praha, the player announced on his twitter account.
Tate Gillespie should play on the mound and, if necessary, in the infield. American player, who played at Texas A&M in 2018 and 2019 had ERA 5.21 in 38 IP in his first season. Unfortunately, due to an injury, he only played one inning in his second year, where he allowed 3 hits and one RBI. Gillespie’s career was marked with injuries, but he aims to restart it in Czech Republic.
In his 24 years, Gillespie also acted as a trainer in the MLB development programme in China, where he trained the local talent.
