College Baseball: Padyšák earned his first win

Saturday games in college baseball saw several Czech players in action. Kotlářka pitcher Daniel Padyšák, currently playing for CSU, was one of the brightest performances among them.

Daniel Padyšák started second game in the doubleheader against Ashville. After a great performance, Czech pitcher was substituted in 8th inning, with his team in 9-1 lead. Consequently, this was also the final result and Padyšák earned his first win on the season with 103 pitches thrown.

North Greenville with Marek Chlup played doubleheader against Southern Wesleyan and once again, they managed to beat their opponent with a dominant performance. First game ended 25-1, where young Czech contributed with a triple and two RBI. Chlup was substituted in both games, after it was clear the game was well in hand.

Pitt Community College with Martin Zelenka played doubleheader against Lenoir. Czech played in both of them. In the first game, that Pitt won 8-1, Zelenka earned a hit and two BB. He entered the second game in the bottom on nineth, while his team was down 4-5. Czech earned a free base with two outs, moving another runner to the second. However, next hit for Pitt was an out and Zelenka’s team lost.

Another doubleheader awaited Puget Sound and Marcus Weinzimer. Marcus entered the game in the fifth inning of the second game, however, he was unable to get a hit. He played the rest of the game as the catcher.
