EXL: Hluboká won series against Draci
There were three games played on Sunday to finish Week 3 Extraliga. And similar to Saturday there were plenty of twists.
Sunday game was to decide who wins the series between Hluboká and Draci. The home team started James Boyce and away team Marcus Jensen. However, Draci starter fought with the strikezone from the beginning and the defense didn’t help him much either. Sokol managed to take advantage of this and scored 5 runs in five innings. In the meantime, Draci only managed one run after homerun from Michael Varga.
James Boyce threw seven innings, only allowing two runs. But team from Brno is known to fight till the last ball and they showed it here as well. Away team managed to score three runs in the eight inning. Wesley Roemer was, however, able to show several nice defensive plays in the field and Hluboká took the win in the game and the series.
