EXL: Kotlářka will try to remain in the league. Hluboká heading for TOP 6
Extraliga saw 7 games played on Saturday, with 5 wins from the home teams.
After the Friday loss, Kotlářka wanted to have a better game. And they had a good start, where they were able to score a run in the first inning. However, Arrows are currently on a roll and they were able to level the score in the following inning and even get the lead in the third inning. Ondřej Satoria had a good game on the mound, only allowing 2 runs in seven innings to the visitors. Boris Bokaj was then able to keep Arrows win. Brett Holtz had 5 BB while his father was watching. Tyler Smith added 3 BB, unfortunately he wasn’t able to get a hit and thus his impressive hitting streak ended at 16 consecutive games. After the game Kotlářka lost any hope of getting into TOP 6.

While Kotlářka wasn’t able to get their win after the Friday loss, Eagles were more successful. The game was leveled for a long time and Eagles were only able to go ahead after Draci made a change on the mound. Tomáš Hrbek had issues with control and he wasn’t able to get an out. Eagles loaded the bases before Draci sent in Jan Vašourek. Visitors managed to get going against him as well and they scored 6 runs in the eight inning. Home team tried to fight for the result, but two runs were not enough and so both teams now have one win in the series. The winner will be decided on Sunday in Prague.

After a slow start to the season, newcomer from Jablonec was able to get several wins recently. Before the series against Hroši they had four wins from five previous games. And they were able to surprise Brno team in the first game as well. Jablonec got the win despite loosing 2-8 after six innings. The end of the game was dominated by the north Bohemian team, who first leveled the score to get the win in the extra innings. James Smiley had his hand in the result, as he threw last two innings, and had 4 hits and 1 BB in the offense.
In the second game Blesk got the 1-0 lead, but afterwards, the game belonged to the home team. Hroši found a way around Anthony Fell and had 15 hits and 10 runs in 5.1 IP. Martin Grundmann, on the opposite side, had a much better game. He only allowed 5 hits and 1 run in seven innings. Hroši took their 13th win on the season and are only step away from TOP 6.

Olympia Blansko wasn’t able to find their form in their third game of the week either. Once again, zero marked the run column at the end of the game. Tempo was able to get the win in the fourth inning, where they scored all of their five runs. Thanks to this win Prague team moved to the sixth place in the standings and they only need to rely on themselves to get to TOP 6.

There was a double header played in Hluboká against Třebíč. Home team knew they only needed one win in the series to get into TOP 6. And they were able to get it in the first game after they beat Nuclears 11-5. Jan Novák started the game. He now has 5 wins on the season. In the seven innings, he only allowed one run and now has is on pace to create the league record for the least runs allowed per game in the regular season.
The second game was much closer, when William Parsons faced Ryan Johnson. Once again it was the home team who scored first after an error from the visitors. In the fifth inning Hluboká increased their lead to 3-0 after a series of hits. However, Třebíč, who needed to win, mounted the comeback, scoring two runs in the seventh inning. Home team wouldn’t allow them to win, though, as they sent Wesley Roemer on the mound who added save to his statistics. Nuclears lost the game by one run for the fifth time on the season and their chances to reach TOP 6 are decreasing.
