EXL: The last game in the series goes better for Tempo

There were two games to be played on Sunday in Extraliga. Unfortunately, the last game in the series between Jablonec and Hluboká had to be postponed due to weather.

The only game that we could watch was played in Prague, where Tempo played the last game in the series against Arrows. After two defeats, Prague team hoped they could get at least one win. Tempo started Joey Wagman on the mound, while away team gave an opportunity to young Alexandr Šín. It was the Ostrava started who was the first to see a ball fly behind the fence after two run homerun from Marek Minařík. It was the sixth HR for the home utility player, which is the most HR on the season for any player in the league.

Away team managed to respond an inning later with a run, but Wagman kept them in check afterwards. Tempo scored three runs in the fourth inning, increasing their lead further. Ostrava only created chances in the second half of the game, after Michal Zelenka substituted Wagman. Arrows got runners on bases, but they had to wait till the eight inning to score runs. Tempo responded with a run by Vojtěch Bečka in the bottom of the eight inning.

Arrows didn’t want to just give up, though. In the nineth inning they were able to get first two batters on bases against Jake Rabinowitz. Unfortunately, next three batters lost the battle against Prague pitcher and Tempo took the 6-4 win.
