MiLB: Adam Macko threw 10 strikeouts
Slovak pitcher Adam Macko started for Seattle Mariners Low-A minors team for the second time this season. His performance helped his team get the win against Los Angels Dodgers farm team.
Macko allowed first run in the first inning, after a defensive error. In the end, he remained on the mound till the fifth inning. Until then he was able to throw 81 pitches, he allowed 4 runs (one after defensive error), but he also had 10 strikeouts. Pitcher, who starter with baseball in Apollo Bratislava, earned double digit strikeouts for the first time in his MiLB career.
Thanks to pitching like this, Modesto Nuts currently has the second lowest team ERA in the entire MiLB. They share the second place with Aberdeen IronBirds (High-A, Orioles) with ERA 2.25. Buffalo Bisons (Triple-A, Blue Jays) are currently in the first place with 2.09 ERA.
