SBL: Opening weekend wins for the favorites
First weekend of the Slovak top flight league saw two games played. Both of them were dominated by the favorites.
First game of the season was played in Bratislava, where reigning champion BK Apollo played the newcomer BK Outmen Skalica. The new team from Záhorie had a rough welcome to the league, after they received 13 runs in the first inning. The game finished after five innings, with Apollo taking the 22-1 win. Roman Paučin was the first man to score a run for Skalica in Slovak Baseball League.
Ten players had at least one hit for Apollo. Michal Ešmír earned 4 hits from 4 at bats. He also got 4 RBI. Alexander Václavík followed him with 4-for-5, 5 runs and 3 RBI. Marek Bošanský played well on the mound, throwing 8 SO in three innings.

The second game was also dominated by the favorite. Similar to Bratislava, Trnava scored 13 runs in the first inning. Jelka wasn’t able to respond and so Trnava won 27-0 after five innings.
