EXL: Draci lost against Blansko and created negative club record
The second to last game of the regular season was played on Wednesday, where Draci welcomed Olympia Blansko. And the result was surprising.
The game didn’t start well for the home team, after Ondřej Furko allowed three runs in the first inning. Michal Sobotka wasn’t able to stop the visitors either and so Blansko lead increased by two more runs.
Draci were able to get runners on bases, but unlike Blansko, they couldn’t send them home. Štěpán Havlíček on Blansko mound managed Draci offense with help of his teammates and the visitors got a surprising win even if Draci didn’t play their strongest lineup.
Reigning champions finished regular season 18-9, which is 66.67 win percentage. This is the worst Win% in Extraliga history for them. Year 2014 became the second worst with 68.6%. Even this was enough to get them the first place and eventually championship title that year.

Blansko will play the last game of the regular season on Saturday, when they face Blesk Jablonec. Even if they were to win, however, Blansko will still finish last in the standings.
