PBW: Senior team beat U23 to start Prague Baseball Week
The international tournament Prague Baseball Week started with the game between two Czech national teams – Senior and U23.
Mike Griffin’s team started with Jan Nebenführ on the mound, who pitched well against Vladimír Chlup’s selection, when he stayed in the game for 6 innings and he only allowed 2 hits. Tomáš Hrbek, on the other hand, allowed first two runs in the first inning and in four innings he pitched, senior team scored 3 times against him.
The only batter with two hits in the game was Ondřej Kalandra from U23 team. Martin Červinka, playing as DH had 1 hit, 2 BB and 2 runs.
Both teams will play again on Wednesday. U23 will face Spain at 19:00, while senior team will play against International Stars at 16:30 local time.
