Bundesliga: Regensburg entered the playoff
Playoff started in German Bundesliga previous week. Four teams will play it in Division South, among them Regensburg with Tomáš Ondra who played two games against Stuttgart.
Both Czech pitchers played in the first game of the series. Jan Tomek threw 6 innings and he left the game in seventh inning while Regensburg was ahead 5-4. Tomáš Ondra took his spot, with one runner from Tomek. But second batter Ondra faced blasted the ball behind the face against him and Stuttgart took the lead they wouldn’t lose till the end of the game.
Legionäre played much better in the second game, this time helped by a great performance from Kaleb Bowman. He allowed a run in the first inning, but afterwards it was only the home team who scored. Regensburg won the game 6-1. The series is split at 1-1 so far and so the team to advance to semifinal will be decided next weekend.
