CEB Cup: Draci finished first earning Czech Republic another spot in Champions Cup
Before the last game of the tournament, Draci knew the loss would be enough to get the them the first place. However, if they were to lose, the run difference couldn’t be more than 5.
The game didn’t start well for Draci, as they were behind 0-1 after the first inning. However, Jakub Hajtmar gave Czech champions the lead in the second inning when he scored in two runs.
An inning later Alexander Perdomo Castro showed Draci will have to fight for the result, when he gave Senárt lead with a two run homerun. Jakub Hajtmar came through for his team an inning later, scoring in another run and leveling the score.
Interesting game gained even more momentum in the eight inning. Senárt took the lead after a two run homerun. Draci responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning, coming one run behind their opponent. French team needed to score at least five runs to finish ahead of Draci. This didn’t happen and Czechs celebrated the win in the tournament despite losing the game.
