European Championship: Slovakia entered qualification with a win against Hungary
Slovak national team entered the qualification tournament well after they won 3-2 over Hungary.
Slovaks entered the game aggressively, helped by Hungary errors, they were winning by three runs in the second inning. The rest of the game showed how important these runs were. Hungary pitcher Sean Tamás Fekete didn’t allowed any runs afterwards. He was substituted by Robert Steven Ogg who kept Slovaks hitless.
Slovak team had their own hero in Jakub Ižold, however. He threw complete game and kept Hungary with only a hit till the ninth inning. Hungary was able to press Slovakia in the ninth inning, and with help of the catcher’s error, they scored two runs. Slovaks, energized by loud fans, came together and got the narrow 3-2 win.
Slovakia will play Finland on Thursday. Hungary will face against Ireland, who won against Finland earlier on Wednesday.
