EXL: Hluboká beat Hroši and kept their hopes for semi-finals
The last weekend game in TOP 6 saw home Hroši and away Sokol play each other. In the end visitors showed a dominant performance.
Hluboká took 2-0 lead right at the beginning of the game. Hroši responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning, but these would be all the runs they scored for the remainder of the game. Wesley Roemer didn’t allow any more runs in the five innings he pitched. Home Lukáš Hlouch had much more troubles, however, and visitors had no problem scoring against him. Reliever Marek Krejčiřík couldn’t stop their momentum either and so the game finished 13-1 after seven innings.
Hluboká won the series 2-1 and they improved their record to 4-5. Hroši, on the other hand, have only two wins in nine games and their chances to get to semi-finals decreased rapidly. Furthermore, they have series against Eagles and Arrows remaining. They were able to only get two wins out of six games with either of the teams in the regular season and in current situation, this wouldn’t be enough to advance.
