EXL: Marek Minařík threw a no-hitter
Marek Minařík continues is playing well this year and the game between Tempo and Hroši wasn’t an exception. He didn’t allow a single hit to his opponents and made his mark in the history of Czech baseball.
Tempo Praha pitcher needed 143 pitches for the no-hitter. He also added 12 SO and only 4 BB in 9 innings. Tempo made two errors in the last inning endangering the no-hitter, as Hroši loaded the bases. Marek Minařík was able to handle the situation, however, and after David Fiala flyout, Prague team celebrated 7-0 win.
Minařík became the first Tempo pitcher to throw a no-hitter in Extraliga. He is 11th player to do so in history of the league, based on our research, but only the first one who also threw a complete game. Interestingly enough, this is also the second no-hitter in Extraliga this year.
The game was also first time in Hroši history, where they were not able to get any hits.
