U15 European Championship: Czechs started the championship with a dominant win

Czech team had to wait till Thursday for their first game. But the wait ended with a dominant win against France.

Full stands didn’t have to wait long for the first runs, when Czechs loaded the bases in the first inning and after a wild pitch and hitting the batter, they went ahead 2-0. Starting pitcher Jan Kozel then scored in two more runs with his hit in the second inning.

Young Czech bats exploaded in third inning, scoring 8 runs. Bottom half of the inning then saw France score their first runs as well, when they responded with two.

The fifth inning was another good one for Czech Republic, as they added 6 runs and it was only question of time before the game ended. France only scored a run in the bottom half and Czechs took 19-3 win after five innings.

Next, Filip Procházka’s team will face Germany, who lost 5-6 to France in their first game. Thanks to the dominant win, loosing against Germany wouldn’t matter much to Czech team. The only requirement is that they don’t lose by more than 16 runs for Czechs to finish first in the group.
