SBL: Finale starts on Saturday
While Czech Republic found its champion on Friday, final series in Slovakia is only about to start. On Saturday Apollo Bratislava will face Angels Trnava to see who will reign as the champion for next year.
Apollo enters the series in a better form, as they are yet to lose a game in SBL this season. They won all the games against Trnava, when they beat them in the regular season 14-4 and 14-1 in TOP 4. These were also the only two losses for Trnava this season.
The series is played in best of five system and starts at 11:00 in Bratislava. If the series was to stretch to five games, we will find out who the Slovak champion is on 1st of September. The win in the series would mark tenth title for Bratislava, while being eight in the row at the same time. Angels Trnava, however, want to defend their reputation as the most successful team in Slovak history that boasts thirteen titles. They also earned 14 second places and one third place.
