U12 European Championship: Czechs beat France and are still without a loss
National team, led by Matouš Procházka, continues in brilliant performances. After beating Italy, they also took the win in the game with another tough opponent. Czechs won 12-2 against France and are well on their way to finish first in the group stage.
But it wasn’t an easy outing, as France took an early lead, scoring a run in the first inning. However, Czechs responded with three runs of their own, two of which came after a wild pitch, in the bottom half of the inning.
Czech bats continued aggressively, racking up 12 runs. Ondřej Bílek (2/2, 2BB) and Bára Jedelská (2/2) got hit in all of their at bats. Since Czech pitchers Štěpán Němčanský, David Bartoň and Alexandr Nepožitek only allowed 4 hits and 2 runs, the game finished in fifth inning.
Czech team now has 3 wins and no loss. This record advances them to the semifinals, but there’s still the game against Hungary to play.
