European championship 2023 officially announced at Baseball Czech Gala
The Czech Baseball Association officially presented the organization of the European Championships in 2023 at the Baseball Czech Gala.
The guests of the evening were also the chairman of the National Sports Agency, Mr. Filip Neusser, and the secretary general of the European Baseball Confederation, Mr. Krunoslav Karin, who together with the president of the CBA, Mr. Petr Ditrich, officially announced the organization of the men’s European Championship in 2023 in the Czech Republic.
Mr. Filip Neusser said: „It is a great honor for us to support this magnificent event and we are glad that the tournament will take place here in the Czech Republic. I wish Czech baseball great success in the years to come.
Also Mr. Krunoslav Karin also spoke about the Czech Baseball Association as a strong and suitable organizer. „Czech baseball is one of the top in Europe and there is a lot of work behind it in recent years. We believe that the tournament will run well in all aspects and will help the further development of baseball in the Czech Republic.“
Mr. Petr Ditrich confirmed his words: „Our goal is to organize the European Championship in all corners of the Czech Republic and to start the project “Czech Republic plays baseball” with it, which is to contribute to the development. At the moment, we are entering into negotiations with individual regions and divisions, the tournament is a great challenge for us and we are looking forward to it.“
The tournament will take place in the fall of 2023.
