Jan Tomek finished his playing career, will train Hroši
Only twenty-nine year old pitcher Jan Tomek decided to finish his playing career. He is, however, not leaving baseball but instead he continues as a train in Hroši U15 team.
Player, who started his career in northern Moravian Klasik Frýdek-Místek returns to places he is not unfamiliar with. In the past, he played for MZLU Express Brno, who, two years after he left for Draci Brno, joined up with Hroši Brno. This time, he will share his experience with young players.
For the club page Tomek explained why he decided to continue as a trainer and leave his playing days: “I had a serious injury last winter, where I torn my achilles. In the end I played almost the entire season. Everything had its cost, however, from the mental point of view I decided for a change. As a player, baseball became exhausting and it did not bring as much joy as before.”
Tomek returns to Czech Republic after six seasons spent in Netherlands, Austrialia and Germany. We will see whether his trainer career goes as well as the player one.
