EXL: Big comeback? Petr Síla moves to Hluboká nad Vltavou
While short in height, Petr Síla belonged to top baseballers in Extraliga during his playing days. Extraliga missed him after he decided to pause his career. However, we will be able to see him back on the field next season.
Web ČBA wrote that Petr Síla moved from Kotlářka to Sokol Hluboká. Based on our information he should be the groundskeeper, but it is possible he will get some playing time as well. If he is able to return to his previous performance level, he will certainly by a valuable player for the team. Síla played 154 games in Extraliga with BA .379 in the regular season. Furthermore, he added 34 stolen bases in 2016 creating the league record. Unfortunately, he finished his career afterwards.
The last time we could see Petr Síla in Extraliga was in 2020 season, when he played 13 games for Kotlářka in TOP 6. In them he showed he didn’t lose any of his baseball magic, with number climbing to .208/.321/.208 and 4 stolen bases. Along with Scotty Mulhearn he would bring a quality to the inner field.
