New team founded in Liberec

There is a new baseball team on the horizon in the Czech Republic and this time it’s in the northern Bohemia.

The team will be a part of Technical University in Liberec and will be named North Foxes. It is currently recruiting players who would like to try out baseball while studying at the university. Founder of the team is former Liberec Patriots player Dominik Raiminius. The head coach is another player from Liberec Adam Brenner, who played in Extraliga for Blesk Jablonec in the previous season.

“I always liked how things work in America, where universities have their own teams and play college league,” wrote Adam Brenner. “In Czech Republic we only have college league in hockey. I think it would be nice, if it expanded to different sports.”
