Pabel Manzanero with new record in Colombian league
Czech baseball fans could enjoy Pabel Manzanero at the Czech fields in summer, when he wore Draci Brno jersey. The player is currently playing in Colombia, for Vaqueros de Monteria in winter league LPB.
The league finished the regular season, which finished on the last day of 2021. Vaqueros finished second with 22 wins and 14 losses. And it was partially thanks to Venezuelan catcher. Manzanero hit .272 and led the league in RBI, with 41, 15 more than second Harold Ramiréz who played for Cleveland Indians last season. It also meant he created a new league record in number of RBI.
Venezuelan catcher will now play in the playoff. If Vaqueros win the league, we will see Manzanero in Serie del Caribe (Caribbean Series).
