Slovakia will play for European Championship spot in Serbia
WBSC Europe announced this season’s schedule for the international European tournaments. One of those is also European Championship Qualification.
Slovak national team will travel to Serbian capital Beograd. There they will play on second week of July for a spot in EC against Hungary, Poland, and Norway, as well as the host team. However, even winning this tournament doesn’t automatically mean they will play EC as WBSC Europe divides the qualification to two stages. The first stage determines teams, which will play in the second stage. The second stage will then take part in June 2023. This year, there will be 15 teams trying to get to A-category.
Beside senior team, U23 will also play qualification tournament, this time in the first half of August in Slovenia. There they play Belgium, Croatia, Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia.
