ČBA supports Ukraine, will not invite Russia to PBW
Czech Baseball Association followed other sports world wide and decided to support Ukraine not only in words, but also with their acts. In today’s statement ČBA announced that Russia will not be invited to Prague Baseball Week.
“While applying collective guilt is always controversial, we cannot forget that Russian side broke the Olympic truce and many more values and ideas that go beyond the sport. For this reason Czech Baseball Association will not invite Russian national team to 41st Prague Baseball Week, and it will also not schedule any friendly games with the country,” wrote ČBA on their web. Last year’s champions will hence not participate at PBW.
ČBA will also offer help to Ukraine Baseball Federation. The details will be discussed on the next association meeting on Monday 28th.
