College Baseball: Chlup without a hitch. Bauer with another hit
Marek Chlup was the only Czech player to play college baseball on Wednesday. David Bauer also played the high school competition.
North Greenville played a home game against Newberry, who only lost one of thirteen games they played this season. This were about to change against NGU, however. Chlup’s team beat Newberry 12-5, thanks no small part to the Czech player, who once again started as a cleanup hitter, turning each of his AB into a base. He had one hit and three walks.
High school team Cardinal Gibbons, with David Bauer in the roster, played a game against Stoneman Douglas. Gibbons lost the game 0-3, but Bauer finished with a hit. He reached the base two times out of three attempts.
