College Baseball: Marek Chlup with two hits in the first game of the season
North Greenville (NGU), where Marek Chlup plays, also entered the new season this week and the first game of the year went well for the Czech player and his team.
NGU played at Mississippi College with Chlup in the right field. He also got the cleanup hitter spot in the offense. Czech baseballer didn’t reach the base from his first AB, however, all this changed in the fourth inning, when home defense made an error. A bit later he added his first run of the season, reaching the home base for the third NGU run.
The first hit came in the sixth inning for Chlup, adding an RBI for the ninth run of his team. With a walk in the eight Chlup also managed to score another, this time eleventh run for NGU, who finished the game winning 12-4. Czech also had a chance in the ninth inning, when he added a single with two outs. NGU will finish the first week of college baseball with two more games on Saturday.
