College Baseball: NGU played two games on Friday
North Greenville, with Marek Chlup in the lineup, played two games at Lander University field, on Friday. One of them was against the hosting team, while the other one against Francis Marion. And the two games couldn’t be more different.
First, NGU played against currently unbeaten Francis Marion and the fans were treated to a plenty of offense. Both teams scored in the first inning, when Marek Chlup leveled the score to 1-1 with a hit. However, NGU lost 12-13 in the end, with Chlup adding two hits to his statistics as a DH.
The game against Lander University gave NGU chance to change their fortune, however, the start of the game didn’t go their way as they were 0-2 behind after two innings. Chlup got an RBI in the third inning, sending home the first run of his team. He then added a run himself in the eight inning, giving NGU 3-2 lead, which turned out to be deciding, as his team won 4-2 in the end.
