EXL: Technika Brno brings in three youngsters
After returning to Extraliga, Technika Brno acquired three new players from Draci Brno, all of which are coming on loan. Each of them is a younger player with little experience in Extraliga.
Infielder Adam Prudil played 31 games for Olympia Blansko so far with .233/.411/.397. Based on the information from baseball-stat.cz, his WAR reached 1.1 making him a youngster with a bright future. Thanks to his performance, he was nominated to U18 national team in the past.
Twenty-one year old pitcher Tomáš Jurčík hasn’t played a game in Extraliga yet. In the previous two seasons he was loaned from Draci to the First League Bučovice, where he threw 4.2 innings in the 2020 regular season, without allowing a run. In the previous season he got more playtime and had 2.63 ERA in 13.2 IP. Unfortunately, Promotion League didn’t treat him well, as he had 9.00 ERA in 13 IP.
Ondřej Filip went a similar road, when he was loaned to Blansko in the previous season. And he did good for himself, batting .315/.400/.400 in 13 games of the regular season. He played the rest of the season in Technika, where he was in 8 games of the regular seasons with BA .469. In the Promotion League coaches played him in seven games where he got five hits (BA .227), helping Technika to return to Extraliga.
