First year of Women’s College Club Baseball Championship will be played in California
Organization Baseball For All announce that inaugural Women’s College Club Baseball Championship will be played this year in California. Tournament, which aims to support women’s baseball at college level, will welcome four teams from Southern California.
Thanks to Baseball For All initiative, several college baseball clubs were established in past six years. California State University, Montclair State University, Occidental College and University of Washington will face each other in the tournament, which may be the core of future integration for women’s baseball into NCAA.
Tournament will take place at MLB Youth Academy in Compton, however, part of it will also be a visit to Los Angeles Dodgers Academy. Official date is yet to be announced.
