College Baseball: CSU continues to struggle
Another batch of college baseball games was played overseas over the weekend and Czechs were in the action as well.
Division II North Greenville played three games against Mount Olive adding three wins to their record. Marek Chlup helped his team with two hits, adding the first RBI in two games. In the bottom of the ninth inning of the third game Mount Olive intentionally walked Chlup to stop him from scoring in a walkoff run. NGU, however, was able to get the win a moment later, winning while losing 7-8 in the last inning.
Charleston Southern University played against UNC Asheville, only affirming they are having a difficult season this year as they lost 3 games. Czech pitcher Daniel Padyšák only played in the Saturday game, where he stepped on the mound while his team was 0-4 behind. This time he didn’t allow any runs and had 2 SO on 5 outs. CSU managed to come back with 5 runs in the sixth inning, but the end of the game was all about Asheville, who added 4 runs in the eighth inning and won.
Playing for Combine Academy, Michal Kovala was a part of combined no-hitter. He threw one inning adding 2 SO to his statistics.
David Bauer played for Cardinal Chief Gibbons again, while his team won 8-4 against Lemont. Czech youngster added a triple. Nicolas O’Rourke also played for his Acalanes, who won 5-0 against Monta Vista.
