College Baseball: Padyšák’s CSU doesn’t have a good season so far
There were more games played in college baseball on Saturday and Czechs weren’t missing either.
North Greenville played a doubleheader against Belmont Abbey, each team taking a win in the end. Marek Chlup added one hit in each of the games, extending his hitting streak to 8 games.
Daniel Padyšák stepped on the mound for Charleston Southern against Cansius. He entered the game as a reliever, although he threw 3.1 innings in the end, allowing only one run. This run was unearned, however. Unfortunately, CSU batters didn’t have their game, and so Padyšák’s team lost 2-4. CSU also lost another game in the double header (12-15) and has 8-9 record after 17 games.
Czechs in action:
Marek Chlup (1st game) – 2 AB, 0 R, 1 H, 0 RBI, 2 BB, 1 SO, 2 SB
Marek Chlup (2nd game) – 3 AB, 0 R, 1 H, 0 RBI, 1 BB, 2 SO
Daniel Padyšák – 3.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO
