College Baseball: Quartet of Czechs in play

There were four Czechs who played the games in College baseball and high school competitions in the past few days. All of them showed that the future of Czech baseball is bright.

Daniel Padyšák played a reliever with his Division I Charleston Southern again. He added 1.2 IP, not allowing a hit and tossing 4 SO. His current ERA is 1.35.

North Greenville, with Marek Chlup continues with the good season. Chlup added 2 hits against Chowan University on Friday, helping his team to 12-4 win. Additionally, he also added a stolen base, rounding it to 10 SB on the season.

Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs played against Glades Jaguars on Wednesday and Thursday with David Bauer in the lineup. Bauer was visible from the get go, adding two hits in the first game and helping his team to a win. While the second game belonged to Jaguars, Bauer got on a base two times. With the two games this week, young Czech remains at the top of the team’s statistics with BA .357 and OBP .500.

Michal Kovala shared, he played for Combine Academy on his Twitter account. Czech threw 1.1 innings, without allowing a hit and dishing out 3 SO.
