Czechs tied in the second game in Tenerife
Czech national team played their second game against France at Tenerife on Wednesday. And once again the game ended in a tie.
Coach Pavel Chadim gave chance to three newcomers on the mound. Starter Lukáš Pacal gave the team three innings, allowing French 4 hits and 3 runs (2 earned). Albert Pražák, who only allowed one run, then pitched two more innings. Afterwards, Boris Večerka threw in the bottom of the sixth inning. He was only able to record one out before the rain started to pour down on Tenerife and game had to be ended prematurely.
Czechs took the 1-0 lead in the first inning, when they loaded the bases and after a walk from Marek Minařík, Petr Zýma scored the first run of the game. However, France responded with two runs in the following half-inning. In the third inning Czechs loaded the bases again, this time getting way more out of it. First run came after sacrificial hit from Marek Minařík, for Filip Smola to earn 2 RBI with a double. France was able to respond and the game ended 4-4.
The national team will play the third friendly game on Thursday, where they face France once again. It is expected Filip Čapka will start on the mound.
