College Baseball: David Bauer with a grand slam homerun

There were four Czech players with an impressive performance in the college and high school baseball overseas.

North Greenville University played three game series against King University and they took three wins. Marek Chlup excelled again, when he had 8 hits from 13 AB. Thanks to this he improved his BA to .435 and is currently the conference leader in the statistic .

Daniel Padyšák pitched in two games for Charleston Southern. On Saturday he entered the game while his team was behind. In the end he threw 1.2 innings allowing 1 run. On Sunday he then pitched in the eighth inning, with CSU losing 7-10. However, CSU managed to tie the game in the ninth inning and Padyšák got the chance to carry on pitching. He didn’t allow any runs in the ninth inning and so the game went to extra innings. There CSU scored four runs and it was up to the Czech pitcher to close the game. After two quick outs came two hits that brought a run to CSU opponent and so the coaches decided to send in another reliever. He closed the game but it was Daniel Padyšák who was awarded his first win of the season.

Another great performance came from David Bauer who scored his second homerun of the season. In the Friday game against Fort Lauderdale he blasted a grand slam behind the fence. A day later he added another hit against Cypress Bay, helping his team to 5-1 win.

Nicolas O’Rourke also had a good game when he had 3 hits from 4 AB in the 18-4 win.
